The challenge for this week is up at Let's Scrap and is the first of the new sketches, from the new designers too. I just love, love, love this one that was created by Eniko DeLise who is a wonderfully talented scrapper, check out her pages at Let's Scrap.
Here is my layout using this sketch.
I used MME "Tres Jolie" papers because the colours were perfect for my photos.
A couple of weekends ago we had a 'Taste of Joburg' day here at Montecasino and Simon and I went with some friends. Basically it was different foods and drinks for you to walk around and sample :D Right in the middle of the whole set up was this gorgeous deep orange truck for Jagermeisters... Simon and Dee both love Jagermeisters and have them every time we have a party at our house. I was delighted because I just knew they would want their photos taken at the truck before having a quick shooter.
I added one more half 4 x 6 to the layout because on top of the truck was a monster balloon which was the Jagermeister bottle, of course that had to be included. I also added a punched border strip to the top and bottom and the circles came from the backs of the papers so that was a perfect match too. I used the green to cut my journalling strips and also cut some tickets from the same papers using my Tim Holtz Die cut, and then stamped them with my Glenda Viljoen stamps which I just love.... I also covered some brackets to finish it off.
I really like the way this page turned out. It has a happy feel for me which is what I wanted because we had such an awesome time there.
Thanks for taking a look.
