LESSONS LEARNT

Hello Everyone,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
My wish for all of you for 2014 is ENOUGH.

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye."
I wish you enough.

The start of a New Year and the first reveal for the NEW OUAS DT. There is amazing inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and is well worth checking it out.

Here is the first sketch for 2014

The journalling theme for January is 'Lessons Learnt' and there needs to be journalling on your layout.

Here is my take on the challenge.

The journalling says:

Life does not follow a straight path and that is ok. You will fall down and that is also ok - you need to get up again and keep going.

You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.

No matter who tries to teach you lessons about life you won't understand until you go through it on your own.

You don't always get what you want in life but you will always get what you need.

Make peace with your past or it will affect your present.

Don't worry what others think of you it is not your concern.

Time heals almost everything... take time. The soul always knows how to heal itself, the challenge is to still the mind.

Don't compare yourself to others, each one of us has our own journey to take and our own stories to tell.

Stop thinking so much worry will only burden you.

No-one but you is in charge of your happiness. It is your life so choose wisely. This is the only life you have so make it count.

People are not going to remember you for what you did. They will remember you for how you made them feel.

No matter what goes on around you you have the choice on how you will react to it.

Everything and everyone has come into your life to guide you in some way. Be open to it.

Here are some close ups of my layout.

I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang mists on the background page and then used a mask with some gesso to create some texture. There is torn washi tape around the outside of the layout and some stitched lines.

I used a die cut for the leaves and the scroll above the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look.
