Hello Everyone!

I am back again :D this time with my Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit and my first two layouts.

I love how easy making up a kit before hand makes my life.

Here is this months kit chosen by Julene.

Beautiful soft muted colours and lots of flowers, birds and butterflies.

Here is the kit I put together and I focused mainly on the flowers, feathers and butterflies and some earthy tones.

This was my first run through and I went with Kaiser Kraft - Gypsey Rose Collection.

Then I added a couple more papers, some washi tape and some stamps of feathers, flowers and leaves and some feather arrows.

Then I added some cut apart bits I thought I would use. I have a plastic pocket of all sorts of things to cut apart that is always with me. The same is for my journalling cards so I wasn't worried about adding those.

Here is the first layout I did using my kit.

We have just been away with some friends of ours and I wanted to document that.

My journalling says...

'The Waspes finally decided to come to the coast with us. We actually had a really nice time with them exploring our neck of the woods.'

My next layout.

This is my daughter in law and my eldest granddaughter who loves to take photos and more especially play with selfies. They both look so happy.

My journalling says.

'Paige just loves to take photos and is always willing to do selfie shots too. Serious, silly, funny she loves it all. So nice to see the two of them having such fun.'

Thanks for stopping by to take a look and for taking the time to leave a comment I really appreciate it.

Till next time - Happy Scrapping!

  1. These are so gorgeous Val! You obviously enjoy playing with these counterfeit kits and you do it beautifully! I would have so much trouble trying to decided what to pick .. just as well I don't scrapbook, LOL! Both your pages are absolutely stunning! Great colours and fab designs! Have a wonderful day! hugs xx

    1. Hi Marg... thank you so much for your kind comments. Well I started off with great intentions and then things kind of ground to a halt this month... I have been busy with some very exciting stuff that I can't share yet. I also have trouble choosing and then end up with a HUGE kit that I get tired of before I am done with it... BUT this months kit was smaller than last months so I am hoping that eventually I will get it right. This is a very cool way to prepare for a crop or something <3

  2. Can't wait to see what else you create with your gorgeous Feb kit!!! Wonderful kit and first 2 layouts are terrific!!!

    1. Hi Becca... thank you so much - yes things have ground to a halt a bit for me this month but still hoping I can do one more layout but will see ;)

  3. They're FABULOUS pages....really loving seeing what you've done close up... & what a brilliant way to USE your bits and bobs, by creating a kit....not sure I could be bothered - but it obv works!!

    1. Hi Lizzy... thank you so much - yes it is a brilliant way to use my stuff but I still have a big struggle with it I am hoping it will help when I go on a Thursday to scrap because I can normally NEVER decide what I want to do and end up taking nothing which is a complete waste of time ;P

  4. Beautiful kit, love both of the layouts

  5. Love these pages Val! Both are super and love those dream catchers on the first page! I love the Kaisercraft accessories pack that always have suck super bits and pieces!
The kids are really growing so quickly, actually quite scary!!!

    1. Hey D... thank you so much. I love these papers too they are gorgeous - the kids are growing way to fast.. but I can't believe we are already nearly in March :O

  6. Beautiful Kit Val, I love the colours and all the organic elements and your first two pages are wonderful :o)xxx

  7. Both your pages are beautifully balanced with colour and style. I like the way you use embellishments to enhance and add interest, yet they never detract from the journalling or the precious photos. I like the concept of creating a kit, but have trouble putting things away, so not sure it would work for messy me!
