THE KEY TO MY HEART(S)

Hello Everyone!

I am here with a tag for the Frilly and Funkie challenge which is inspired this month by the opening line of Emily Barrett Browning's famous poem 'Let me count the ways' and is to include three of something.

I made this tag for an event and it includes three hearts stacked one on each other.

I used a 3 1/4 by 6.5 inch manila tag and used a stencil with some glitter paste on the background then spritzed with some distress spray in places. I coloured a doily and added that and free hand cut three hearts, the first one is a scrap from my scrap box and the second was a little piece of felt and the top one was the same paper as the little punched border at the bottom, added a scrap of lace and a button and pushed a hat pin through the whole lot. I chose two colours - shades of pink yellow and then finished the tag off with ribbon and jute, and a little gold bulb pin and a little gold key... hence the "key to my heart".

Thanks for stopping by to take a look and for taking the time to leave me a message .... I really appreciate it.

Till next time - Happy Scrapping!

Hugs
Val-Belle

  3. What a gorgeous tag Val, so many pretty and interesting details and a wonderful way to use tiny scraps and doodads. Beautiful photographed as well.
Thanks for your kind comments on my AJ page, you asked about what kind of journal I work in - I make my own, using mixed media paper with vintage book covers, either stitched together or coil-bound using my bind-it-all. Looks pretty, you can get exactly the kind of paper you like and it's cheaper too :o) Here's a post about it if you're interested xx

  7. A perfectly beautiful and elegant tag Val. I love the colour combo and the layered hearts. The background adds texture and interest without dominating and the whole thing is gorgous. Thanks for the inspiration. Sorry I've been MIA; we've been away and now playing catchup!
